Rich, Wayne K. age 79 of East Troy passed away on Monday June 23, 2008.He was born on April 10, 1929 to Keith and Ethel(Hendrickson) Rich in La Crosse, Wi. He was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical American Lutheran church in Cashton, Wi. He graduated from Ontario High School in Ontario, Wi. in May of 1947. Wayne “Sonny” embraced life with a smile and a kind character. He married Dolores Olson on Nov. 4, 1949. They had a close and loving relationship having been married over 58 years. His church and faith were very important to him. Wayne was a very hard worker who worked on the Schroeder Mink Ranch before coming to East Troy. He was a welder at Trent Tube for 31 years and then worked part time for the Hubertz family at Plastronics Plus until he retired. He enjoyed his family the outdoors, golfing, being at home, playing euchre with friends and family. He is a member of St James United Methodist Church of East Troy where he had been on many committees such as administrative board, Pastor parish relations, finance committee, and the new church building committee. He was an active member of the East Troy Food Pantry and the music man at Kiwanis Manor church services. He is survived by his wife Dolores 2 daughters Vicky(Lee) Stoddard of Reedsburg and Pamela(Roger) Sheard of Prairie du Sac. Grandchildren Renae(Corey) Mageski, Bradley(Julie) Stoddard, Natalie, Josh, and Elyssa Sheard, and one great grand daughter Samantha Mageski, a brother Donald(Mary of Elgin, Il and a sister Janice(Al) Kanable of Cashton, Wi, a brother-in-law Teddy(Ruth Ann) Olson of La Farge, Wi brother-in-law Duane Downing of Cashton, Wi.nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in laws Edith and Ted Olson, and a sister Shirley(Rich) Downing. A special thank you to Dr.Rennick and his staff for the care and dedication given to Wayne And his family. A funeral service will be held Friday June 27, 2008 at St James United Methodist Church at 11am with a visitation from 9am until the time of service.
