Death Notice:

ROGERS, Dr. John, age 92 of East Troy passed away on Monday Nov. 3, 2008. He was born to Joseph and Ada Rogers in Chicago, Ill. On May 31, 1916. He attended Wheaton college until he entered the Army Air Corp in 1941. He served as a captain and flew 174 missions in the Pacific Theater as a P-38 Pilot. Upon return from Military Service, John attended Veterinary school in Ames, Iowa and moved with his family to East Troy in 1951 where he joined his father-in-law dr. Edward Smith in practice at the East Troy Veterinary Clinic. John served the East Troy community as a Veterinarian for more than 50 years. He also served on the East Troy Community School Board, the Board of the Christian league for the Handicapped and was a deacon of the East Troy Bible Church. John is survived by Alice his wife of 66 years, three sons, John of East Troy, David(Barbara) of East Troy, and Jim(Carol Gieselli) of Merton. Five grandchildren Joel, Nathan, Jordan, Amanda, Emily Rogers and two great grandchildren Christian and Chase Rogers. A service of Christian burial will be held Saturday at 1pm with a visitation from 10am until the time of service all at the East Troy Bible Church.
