HASTINGS, Wilbur “Bill” age 75 passed away Wednesday Jan. 7, 2009 at Lakeland Hospital in Elkhorn after a long illness. He was born on October 14, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio to Harry and Neta(Reed) Hastings. He married the late Louise Panzenhagen at Great Lakes Navel Base in 1953. He was a machinist, a member of the UAW and a Gunners Mate in the Navy. He loved R.C. Cars, lottery tickets, his dog Sandy, and his family. He is survived by his children Carl “Butch”(Linda), Melodie “Dee Dee”(Ron), Christal(Shawn) Lord, Scott “Tiger”(Kim), Theresia(Tony), 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, a brother David, and a cousin Kathryn Douglas, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A funeral service will be held Monday Jan. 12, 2009 at 4pm with a visitation from 1pm until the time of service all held at the funeral home.
